Kiecmore is an organic, handmade cosmetics company. We specialise in the production of cosmetics for people who value the importance of naturally made skincare solutions. We believe in the use of natural products that have long lasting effects on customer well-being. Our ingredients are carefully selected from healthy, natural sources to formulate luxurious skin care solutions that tackle the everyday problems that arise when looking after our skin. We are committed to healthy, holistic practices that ensure we always do right by our customers and all who we are referred to. We think about every element we use in every one of our products – where it came from, what it does and how it impacts you and your skin both in the short and long term. Blessing Nwodim, the creator of the brand and every single formulation that Kiecmore offer on our website. Going to university to study pharmaceutical science, Blessing had planted the seed of her interest in body care and skin treatment. Moving to the UK in the 80s from Nigeria and finding her husband who she now has 4 lovely children with, her journey has not been straightforward but often times that makes the rewards that much sweeter. Many hurdles that were overcome over the course of Blessings life to even be able to be in the position she is in today is a miracle, and a testimony to her strong character and resilient faith.
Blessing started off making products just for the immediate family, trying hair cream and body cream, face masks and things alike on the family and adjusting to the feedback that was given. As you can imagine when friends begin to see the benefits of the products this is the first form of advertising that she was exposed to unknowingly. People from her children’s school began to request the same products that she was giving to her family! This was an amazing boost of confidence as it verified that there was a place in the market for the service Blessing provided. Following the positive feedback, Blessing decided to create a brand that would make her products distinct from those around her. For a long time, she sat on ideas for a name before coming to the Kiecmore (which incorporates the first initial of each one of her children). A fitting family name for a family-oriented person.
The obstacles did not stop at realising the name however, the branding, getting the ingredients and the production of the products, getting the packaging from different suppliers and choosing which ones are best suited, formulating the cream as well as being a full-time mother with 4 children all going through school. All of which is needed to done before a website or any other form of advertising is done. A huge deal went into the creation of Kiecmore at the early stages in order for it to be sturdy company that even took orders from just close friends. Of course, the idea of expanding is in the mind of every person who creates a business, however the workload was so heavy at the time Blessing was overjoyed when she received a small order of £10 for a tub of cream from a relative. Now moving forward into recent years, we see a clear brand that has been cultivated out of the depths of Blessings imagination. Over 15 different products available on the website, many variants in scents and sizes and a customer base that was not imaginable at the beginning. Kiecmore has partnered with a few companies who sell the products in store as for now it is an online company. Imperium Physiotherapy have formed a great relationship with Blessing as she supplies the cream that is used for the treatment of their NHS clients in store, as well as having a section dedicated to advertising Kiecmore products.
What seemed daunting at the beginning, only meant that the gap in the market needed to be established and undergone in the correct way. There was an opportunity recognised and Blessing took it upon herself to explore it. During the pandemic the Kiecmore interactions with customers changed but this provided again another opportunity to take time and revamp the website and the social accounts. Blessing is a strong advocate of doing what she can in order to best serve the customer, and this is translated into the way she is as a mother. Wherever possible the family are there for her to reciprocate the care shown to them, whether it be helping with doing deliveries, sticking the labels on the products, updating the Instagram, there is always a way for the family to help and it directly reflects the message given by the brand. It does not matter what skin type you have, or how regularly you ordinarily find yourself creaming, at Kiecmore there is a product to help you where you are in your skin care journey. There is a place for everyone in the Kiecmore family. Your needs will be tended to and you are not treated as just another customer.

There is still a long road ahead for Kiecmore, however this is treated with excitement and anticipation instead of fear and doubt.
